After my hospital birth with my first baby, I was determined to have a better experience the second time around. I chose to give birth at home to give myself the best possible outcome for me and my baby.
We started by meeting with a local midwife and finding out our options. We immediately loved her and she eased a lot of my husbands fears about birth. We moved forward with the pregnancy in her care and the birth turned out so beautiful.
I gave birth in water which was very helpful! This birth was fun! We danced, sang, and had the best time as we waited for our baby to be born!
This was such an empowering experience. I felt in control of the situation, the environment, and my experience.
Homebirth is such a great option for low risk births and I was so happy with mine. It truly was so empowering.
