Simple, homemade bread recipe

As a mom that loves simple, healthy ingredients for my family, I am thrilled to share this Easy bread recipe with you! with only 5 ingredients, it is so simple to make.

You will love how soft and filling it is and there is nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread in your house!  My family loves eating it warm with butter on it!

I am not a fancy baker… I just love simple, homemade food. 

The funny thing is, my youngest son is currently really sensitive to wheat, so neither him or I can eat it. (breastfed baby allergies)  But the rest of my family loves it so much, so I’ve been baking it almost daily, recently.

I wanted to share it with all of you because I know so many people can be intimidated by baking their own bread. I promise it’s so easy. I walk you through it step-by-step in this video.

Simple, Homemade Bread

5 ingredient- bread
Prep Time 2 hours 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil coconut, olive, or butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 ¼ cup warm water
  • 1 packet yeast 2 1/4 tsp
  • (about) 4 cups flour 3 + add til it's not sticky

Instructions

  • mix oil, honey, and salt
  • in a separate bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water
  • combine water with oil, salt, and honey mixture.
  • let sit til it's slightly bubbly. about 5 minutes.
  • slowly add flour
  • if using a mixer, switch to the dough hook
  • add flour and knead about 5 minutes
  • cover bowl and let it rise for about 1 hr or until double in size
  • preheat oven to 350°
  • knead risen dough again about 5 minutes
  • shape dough and place in a greased bread pan
  • bake at 350° for 1 hour.
  • serve warm with butter
